Companies and People (All Contact Records)

BrowserCRM has real-world data model which lets you look at Companies and People separately, or look at them together as 'All Contact Records'.

The module 'All Contact Records' includes all Companies and People. This is particularly useful if your customer base is a mix of Companies and People.

Depending on your business needs, you may want to reconfigure the default main menu setup to show or hide the three key menu items: All Contact Records, Companies and People.

Earlier BrowserCRM terminology labelled 'All Contact Records' as 'Contacts' or 'Entities'.
The underlying module name in the code for 'All Contact Records' is 'Contact Module'.

So what are 'Contacts' in BrowserCRM?

'Contacts' is a collective term for Companies and People - in other words - any entity you interact with. In BrowserCRM, 'Contacts' and 'Entities' is synonymous.

How do I work with contacts?

Depending on your business, you will decide whether it is most appropriate to work with Companies, People or All Contacts.

The Contact Module includes profile fields such as Source, Industry, Classification and Type which allow you to build common segments across your Contacts, regardless of whether they are Companies or People.
